What makes a kitchen? It's a real question. Some people would say that a kitchen is defined by the tools in it. Others might suggest it's how well the golden triangle works for the chef. For me, what defines my kitchen is the food itself, what I prepare each day, and what I offer to those who grace my table.
The kitchen really is the center of my world. Whether I'm baking bread, making a delicious meal, or relaxing over a cup of tea, it's where my heart is. It's where my soul is most at peace. I love the meditation time that kneading bread brings, and the happiness that I see on the faces of those who eat the meals I prepare.
This "virtual kitchen" is a repository of recipes that I've tried, and that I want to try. You'll find internal links that lead to recipes with my own commentary about how they turned out. There are also external links to repositories of historical and modern recipes. Each recipe will contain information about what era it comes from, as well as a bit of history associated with it.
I hope you enjoy your time in my kitchen. Pull up a stool, grab a mug of tea or broth, and come chat. Or delve right into The Recipes.
